• You hold a master’s degree in science.
• You obtained the certificate Prevention Advisor level 1 (400 hours) + annual refresher course.
• You obtained the certificate Environmental coordinator level A (250 hours) + annual refresher course.
• You have an ISPS-code certificate: the function is a PFS Officer- (Port Facility and Security Officer).
• You are a team player, a coach, a problem solver, you communicate fluently with your colleagues and are stress resistant.
• You are flexible and creative. Your great adaptability enables you to react quickly in unforeseen situations.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. The knowledge of French is a plus.

We are looking for a HSE Manager (m/f/x) for our Blending Plant in Ertvelde.
You will report immediately to the Plant Manager.

Your tasks:

• You supervise the implementation of the safety and environmental policy.
• You assure the validity of the exploitation permits (license to operate).
• You provide advice (safety + environmental) in all kinds of activities of the plant.
• You assist the employer, the hierarchical line and the employees with regards to risk evaluations, incident investigations, ...
• You assure the preparation on emergency situations.
• You implement and steer the dynamic risk management process in line with legal obligations, Company requirements and ISO 145001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 requirements.
• You organise the monthly HSE committees (CPBW).
• You assure the investigation of incidents and accidents.
• You assure the role of Technical Integrity Manager.
• You assure the management of dangerous good.
• You manage the contacts with the external medical department.
• You coordinate the security organization.
• You coordinate the catering organization and are operational key contact for the external catering provider.
• In line with ISPS-code, you are the Port Facility Officer for the port facility located at the canal Ghent-Terneuzen.
• You manage the investment budget of the HSE department.
• You stimulate the HSE culture by means of personal contacts with employees
• You manage, control, and consolidate data on environmental aspects (waste, water, ...).
• You report the annual environmental figures to the Company and legal authorities.
